What is the Bike Valet?
- The Bike Valet is a volunteer run bike parking service that makes it easier for people to ride to community events.
How does it work?
- The Valet works just like a coat
check. Each rider is given a check tag that matches the tag attached to their bike. The bike is carefully
parked in our secure lot for the duration of the event. To retrieve a bike, hand our volunteers the check
tag and the bike is returned, easy peasy.
Is my bike safe at the Valet?
- IT SURE IS - with over 25,000 bikes parked we're
experts at protecting your bikes! In fact, we pride ourselves in keeping your bicycle safe while you are out enjoying yourself, because we know how important it is to keep bikes safe.
What if I forget to pick up my bike?
- If you forget to pick it up we will
lock it to a bike rack, sign feature, or in our storage space with a
standard bicycle cable lock and may be subject to a storage fee. Call
(805) 547-2055 or email valet[at]slobikelane.org to retrieve you forgotten bike.
How can I help out at the Valet?
- You can sign up for a Valet volunteer shift here!
Can I hire the Valet for my upcoming event?
- Yes! In fact it's a great way to 'green' your event! This can also be extremely helpful when vehicle
parking is tight, or when you want to encourage a healthy, sustainable
form of transit for your event participants. For scheduling the Valet at
your event contact us at valet[at]slobikelane.org or call (805) 547-2055. View pricing below:
